Some simple rules to follow:
Your character can only be in one thread at a time, so until one thread ends, or you leave prematurely, don't be in two at once.
Your character only knows what he is told, or has seen, if someone catches an oddish in another part of the world, don't announce "Congratulations on your Oddish!"
Events happen generally the same day the first post is started in the game, but can take a while in real world time to resolve. Keep this in mind. The event actually happens once the thread closes (For example, if your character witnessed a fight that was in progress, and left the thread, and then wanted to talk about it, the next day, he could not until the fight thread finished, since it's events only come to fruition once everything is said and done, and the fight is stuck in the previous day)
Don't double post.
Out of characters posts should be in the Out of character posts should be in Out of Character sections.
Editing is allowed, but do not edit something because you later regret what you did. Sometimes people say things they later wish they could take back, it's a part of life. So, editing should be relegated to typos and grammar only.
No posts with no substance. We don't need to read how your character's eyes bulge in response to watching someone elses charizard fire blast a wild pidgy. It's sort of a waste, and people tend to skim posts like that anyway. Also, no posts detailing on and on about your characters inner feelings about someone else, or an NPC. Those aren't really necessarily either. That's not to say inner monologing isn't allowed, just don't have it be 75% of any one post.
Swearing is fine. 10 year olds say some nasty shit sometimes. Go play halo online if you don't believe it.
And finally, try to keep things clean and fun, and pokemon. Things should be serious at times, silly at others, but nothing so adult as wanton death, and nothing remotely sexual. Romance is one thing between two appropriate aged characters, but many characters are going to be children so none of that, please. Gradually the theme of the game may move, and we'll address that if it happens.
